I do agree that the default .ini does not specify a boot device and the one you created should boot from SPI flash.

But, why do [PLLANDCLOCKCONFIG] & [EMIF3DDR] settings of  x1-scantest-OMAPL138.ini differs from the default OMAP-L138.ini fie ?
